East Lancashire PGA Alliance

Welcome to the website for the East Lancashire PGA Alliance.

The Alliance was formed in 1972 by East Lancashire PGA legends, Bill Harling and Bob Lomas offering inexpensive competitive golf during the summer months playing some of the best courses in and around East Lancashire.

It has run successfully every summer since, so much so that starting times are a highly prized possession.

We run a series of fourball betterball stableford events every wednesday from April through to mid October, open to both Amateur and Pro am pairings with an individual stableford competition for Professionals.

Amateur pairs prizes are 1st to 4th, Senior pairs prize (age combination of 120+), Super Seniors pairs prize (age combination 140+), Pro Am prizes 1st to 3rd, Individual Professional prizes 1st to 3rd and an Individual Senior Professional prize.

Format

• Fourball Better Ball, Stableford points, 85% of handicap.
• Amateurs must be a member of a golf club and have a current WHS index.(a reduction of 1 full shot to handicaps will be applied for every £100 won in pairs and pro am divisions)
• Competition entry fees:AmAm pairing £40pair
• Pro am pairing £50 pair.
• Twos sweep included for amateurs.
• £44 a pair amateur entry fee at Clitheroe GC, Preston GC, Blackpool North Shore & Lytham Green Drive GC.
